It is November 9th, and those sausages I bought from Sainsbury's last week are due to expire today. I wonder when my expiration date is? "Best if used by..."

Remembering spring doesn't make the weather warmer, in fact it's due to snow sometime next week.

Actually the expiration date and a best if used by date are two different things. Expiration is the last day something can be used, best if used by actually allows for up to 7 days from that date before something officially expires. Most of the dates that you see on a container nowadays are best if used by and not expiration dates.
